Wind and rain meditation

Hear that? The wind is blowing through the trees. It catches the leaves, and they stretch and rustle and tug on their branches. The trees flex and allow the wind to pass. The wind will blow itself out, and the trees will still be here in fifty years.

The birds are quiet. The squirrels are hiding. They expect trouble. It’s a good day to huddle down and put yourself first. The wind drags surprisingly uniform patterns into the puddles. Excited water molecules leap into the air and are carried off to a new adventure. They’ll be rain again soon.

A person listens quietly. They don’t expect trouble. They’re safe and dry. Just listening to be a part of the moment. To feel closer to the world and understand how it all feels.
