Being vulnerable means saying what you really feel. It means putting it out there and doing your best to explain, even though no one may ever understand. It means sometimes you get something you didn’t want.
But no matter what the result is, it’s worth it. Without vulnerability there is no intimacy. There is no trust. To connect with people, you have to grit your teeth, swallow the lump in your throat, and try to find the words.
And it won’t be the last time. You’ll have to do it again and again. It’ll be hard every damn time. In the long run, it’ll be worth it.
