The DIY retreat
In any major city you can find meditation classes more or less daily.
So why do you need a ten-day meditation retreat? Why aren’t people putting this together themselves? Go to a different meditation class every day. Sit and talk with the teacher afterwards. Meditate all the way there. Meditate all the way home.
Sit at home and meditate all day. Walk to the park and meditate there. Wake up and meditate. Meditate until you fall asleep at night. Meditate while you cook. Meditate while you eat. Take a week off work and just meditate the whole time.
It sounds like agony. But I don’t think it’s any less painful at an actual retreat.
