Looking forward to things

What are you looking forward to?

If you can’t think of anything off the top of your head, get something as soon as possible. The simpler it is, the better.

In circumstances too ridiculous to explain fully, I once had a living situation where I got to order a lunch every day. There were five options, so I decided to schedule a different option for each weekday. The same cycle of five lunches, every week for a few months.

My favourite was Thursday. I explained that to a coworker one Thursday, because I was especially looking forward to lunch that day. They looked at me funny and asked why I didn’t just order it every day. I told her that I liked having something to look forward to.

Having a favourite also means having a least favourite. It’s a small price to pay.
