The importance of today

Bill Gates said that most people overestimate what they can accomplish in a year, but underestimate what they can do in ten years.

The implication of this idea is that people underestimate the value of what they can do in the short-term. Don’t make that mistake. What you do today, whatever it is, is the foundation of what your life will be in ten years. Even if it seems small now. Even if you won’t remember it, that doesn’t mean it isn’t important. Don’t underestimate its value.
